The Waterview Tunnel

Work on the tunnel first began in 2013 and was completed this July. The tunnel opening was much anticipated for us at Kiwi Self Storage because of how convenient it makes travelling to and from our Mt Roskill facility.

Thanks to the tunnel, our Mt Roskill facility is now at the heart of Auckland, with excellent access for our business customers to use the motorway network north, south, west and to the airport.

Understandably, we’re delighted at how easy it is for people to access our facility but we’re not alone in our praise for the tunnel – you’ve no doubt heard countless people expressing their delight at how much shorter their journeys have been since the tunnel opened? There are also some great stories on the NZ Transport Agency website about how the tunnel has helped businesses and our fellow Aucklanders connect with their family and friends.

We mentioned earlier about the tunnel being one of the benefits for our business customers, in addition to the tunnel opening, our Mt Roskill centre is an MPI-approved transitional facility so you can unload sea containers.
